According to INE data, this is the fifth consecutive month of increases, which is the highest value since November 2019, when it stood at 1.017%. For housing purchase financing, the implicit interest rate for total contracts rose to 1.027%, which corresponds to 9.9 basis points more than in July. According to data provided by INE, contracts signed in the last three months also increased by 23.3 basis points to 1.528%. The average capital outstanding in the month of August increased from 345 to 60,750 euros. For contracts concluded in the last three months, the average amount owed was 128,092 euros. In the period under review, the average installment rose by four euros to 268 euros, of which 51 euros of this amount correspond to interest payments and 217 euros to amortized capital.
