A customer with a loan in the amount of 150 thousand euros for 30 years, indexed to Euribor for six months and with a 'spread' (bank's profit margin) of 1%, started to pay from this month 446.55 euros, which translates to less 1.38 euros compared to the last revision (June). In the case of a loan under the same conditions (value and repayment period), but indexed to the three-month Euribor, the customer will pay 444.39 euros, 1.24 euros less than what he had been paying since September. These values were calculated taking into account the Euribor averages in the month of November, having been at six months of -0.534% and at three months of -0.567%. At the end of September, the vast majority of credit moratoriums ended, which in households were particularly important for housing credit. Euribor rates are the main index in Portugal in bank contracts that finance home purchases. The six-month Euribor is the most used, followed by the three-month rate.
